My Approach to Individual Therapy

I understand that each person’s journey is unique, which is why I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your individual needs. My approach blends various evidence-based therapies. I integrate Gestalt Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Therapy (ISTDP), Mindfulness Practices, and trauma-informed work inspired by the teachings of Gabor Maté and Bessel van der Kolk.

Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt Therapy focuses on awareness in the present moment. By exploring your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations, we work together to increase your self-awareness and help you reconnect with your authentic self. Through this process, you’ll learn to make choices that align with your true desires, rather than being controlled by unconscious patterns.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

IFS helps you connect with and understand the different parts of yourself—those inner voices, beliefs, and emotions that influence your thoughts and actions. Whether it’s the inner critic, the wounded child, or the protective part, IFS helps you engage with these parts with compassion and curiosity. By fostering harmony among these parts, we can achieve inner peace, self-acceptance, and lasting change.

Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)

Sometimes, the road to healing requires diving deep into the emotions that are holding you back. ISTDP is a fast-paced, experiential form of therapy that helps you break through emotional barriers, unlocking the core feelings and experiences that are often buried beneath the surface. With a focus on emotional expression and insight, ISTDP can provide rapid relief from long-standing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.

Mindfulness

I have been inspired by and use the approaches to healing trauma of renowned experts, such as Gabor Maté and Bessel van der Kolk, Peter Levine’s body-based therapy, Richard Schwartz Internal Family Systems. These inspiring practitioners are currently the leaders in trauma therapy. So my therapy incorporates a deep understanding of how early trauma shapes our emotional and physical health. I also have strong Psycho-spiritual focus in my therapy work as often people are looking for deeper, meaning behind their internal struggles and personnel challenges. Working to experience your true self is core to my therapy work.
